Paul R. Castonguay

FARMINGTON – Paul R. Castonguay, 87, a former resident of Livermore, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2022, at Orchard Park Nursing Home in Farmington, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Sept. 19, 1934, in Livermore Falls, the son of Peter Castonguay and Carmelle (Labine) Castonguay. He was a 1955 graduate of Livermore Falls High School.Paul proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1956-1958. On Feb. 27, 1960, at St. Rose of Lima Church he married Barbara Goulet of Livermore. They enjoyed 49 years together before her passing April 24, 2009.Paul worked at International Paper Company in the repairs department until his retirement in 1997. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay and a member of the International Paper Quarter Century Club. He enjoyed working in his yard and doing things for his kids.He is survived by his sons, Paul R. Castonguay and wife Sondra of Fayette and Larry J. Castonguay and wife Dawn of Jay, daughters, Angela McDaniel and husband Torri of Livermore and Paulette Poole and husband Lynn of Mount Vernon, 11 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren; sisters, Theresa Miranda of Livermore, Pauline Dion of Livermore Falls, and Jacqueline Mercier and husband David of Livermore. He was predeceased by his parents, his wife Barbara, his son, Peter A. Castonguay, his brothers, Roger and Rene Castonguay, his sisters, Margaret Williamson, Gloria Henry, Patricia Nadeau, Lorraine Cote, Louise Nolette, Claudette Lemelin and Anita Couture.
