POLAND — Rudolph “Rudy” Horowitz is a Holocaust survivor, author, architect, and grandfather of students in RSU 16. His book “Avoiding the Cracks,” was written as a series of letters addressed to his grandchildren. The book explains how his family, from Poland, was able to beat the odds and survive the Holocaust. Rudy visited Whittier Middle School on April 8 and shared his story with 8th graders. The students provided an excellent audience and asked great questions.
