A skunk brought demolition work to an abrupt halt on Whitney Street, Auburn, late this morning. A spokesman for the State Highway Commission which is involved in demolition work in connection with the Union Street By-pass Project, notified police at about 11:45 this morning that when part of a building was being razed on Whitney Street, a section of it fell onto a skunk which had run from the building. The animal was pinned underneath. The police complaint states there was a very strong odor evident in the area. Game Warden Dan Glidden was called to dispose of the animal.
