BROWNFIELD — Would you like to learn how to attract more feathered friends to your property?

Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District has partnered with Maine Audubon to bring you an exciting workshop. Join us on Saturday, May 7, from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. to learn about managing woodlands with birds in mind.

The Forestry for Maine Birds approach integrates bird conservation into forest management and planning. In this workshop, you will learn how to:

 Improve habitat for priority forest birds and a variety of other wildlife species;
 Take care of your woodland;
 Work with other forest management goals; and
 Enhance the value and enjoyment of Maine woodlands for many generations to come.

All are welcome, and this workshop may be of particular interest to landowners, loggers, foresters, and land trust members.

We will meet at the Tenmile River Demo Forest in Brownfield.

This event is free but pre-registration is required; please register no later than 2 p.m. on Friday, May 6.
