Venise (Blouin) Baril

LEWISTON – Venise (Blouin) Baril, 88, of Lewiston, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, April 21, 2022. Born in Rumford on June 30, 1933 she was the daughter of Leon and Diana (Brodeur) Blouin. She was a graduate of St. Dom’s Class of 1951, and married Ralph Baril on June 28, 1952. She worked in various offices over the years throughout Lewiston/Auburn. Venise was a parishioner of St. Peter’s & Paul Basilica, Prince of Peace Parish. Family was most important to her, and she loved playing with her grandkids and great-grandkids. She was known for her fudge and strawberry jam. Survivors include her husband, two daughters, Sandra Moreau and husband Larry of Poland, and Heidi Negm of Lewiston; a son Scott Baril and husband Steve Gagnon of New Port Richey, Florida; granddaughters, Briana Negm of Lewiston, and Kaitlyn Moreau and her fiance Richard Paradis of Lewiston; grandson, Nicolas Moreau and his wife Erica of Poland; four great-grandchildren, Cymon Gaudet and Jasper Negm of Lewiston, and Jack and Luc Moreau of Poland; four sisters, Lucille Loubier, Adrienne Desrochers, Lorena Desjardins, and Pauline Boilard; and a brother, Larry Blouin. Besides her parents she is predeceased by her sisters, Eva Gilbert and Irene Lavoie, a brother, Raymond Blouin, and a son-in-law Richard Negm.
