Constance Lorraine Pickle Ray
AUBURN – It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of Constance Lorraine Pickle Ray, who was born in Auburn, Maine, on Aug. 20, 1933. She passed away April 26, 2022, at her home. Lorraine was the daughter of Roland Arlington Pickle and Vera Goding Pickle. She attended Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little High School in 1951.Lorraine Married Kervin D. Ray on Oct. 19, 1952. She leaves behind, along with her devoted husband of almost 70 years, her four daughters, Lorna Ray and her husband John Napoli, Lynn Jarvie and her husband Alex, Kim Ray and her husband Frank Pinto, and Leslie Deschesne and her husband Mark. She had seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.Lorraine was predeceased by her parents and two brothers.Lorraine enjoyed golfing and lived at Citrus Hills, Florida, for over 20 years with Kervin. She also enjoyed sewing, painting, traveling, cooking, and playing cards with friends. She was much loved by all who knew her.Lorraine and Kervin moved back to Auburn in 2011 to be closer to family. They have lived the past three years at Schooner Estates assisted living.The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the wonderful staff at Schooner Estates, Elite Home Care, and Androscoggin Hospice for their compassion and care the past few years.There will be a private service for the family at a later date.Arrangements are under the care of Albert & Burpee Funeral Home.
