NORWAY — Norway Savings Bank recently held its annual employee awards banquet to celebrate the outstanding employee achievements from the previous year. For the second year in a row the event was held virtually.

The bank announced that Lin Dehetre, VP, Branch Manager and Mortgage Loan Officer of the Auburn branch, was among the recipients who received the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Award, which is presented to individuals who are open to different ideas; value diverse backgrounds; foster inclusivity in their own community; respect other perspectives and beliefs; seek learning opportunities to avoid bias; and ensure equitable treatment.
Culture awards are presented to employees who exhibit elements of the bank’s culture through their daily responsibilities and high quality of work. This year, the bank received 150 nominations from employees across the bank for its Culture and Employee of the Year awards.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
