Irene Armandi Hebert
FARMINGTON – Irene Armandi Hebert, 90, a resident of Jay, passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022, at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington. She was born on June 1, 1931, the daughter of Armando and Germaine (Pouchain) Armandi.Irene attended Jay schools and was a 1948 graduate of Jay High School. On Sept. 30, 1950, she married Roger “Bob” Hebert at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. They were married for 43 years before Bob’s passing in 1994.Irene worked at Laverdiere’s Drug Store in Livermore Falls and as a loan officer for Otis Credit Union for many years before her retirement in 1993. She was a very active member of St. Rose of Lima Church, especially in the music ministry. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church, a member of the Daughters of Isabella and the Resurrection Choir. She was a former Treasury of the Farmington Alliance for Mental Illness. She volunteered for “Friends Together Peer Support and Recovery Center” for 20 years before she stepped down due to ill health.She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Hebert of Jay, her son, Jeffrey Hebert and wife Phyllis of Jay; two grandchildren, Michael and Jennifer; seven great-grandchildren; her sister, Therese Therrien, her brother-in-law, Patrick “Sunny” Hebert; her Godchildren, Paulette Armandi, Conrad and Glenda Armandi, Claude Berube, and Kelly Ryder; and many nieces and nephews.She was predeceased by her parents, parents-in-law; her husband, Roger “Bob”; her infant son, Roger; her brothers, Robert and Raymond Armandi, her sisters-in-law, Lucille, Viola, and Barbara “Joyce”, and her brother-in-law, George and Frances “Franny” Hebert, and Roland Therrien.“I am sending an Angel before you to guard you on the way and bring you to the place I have prepared.”Messages of condolence may be sent to: http://www.finleyfuneralhome.comA Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m., Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at St. Rose of Lima Church, 1 Church Street, Jay, Maine.
