Edward H. Langdon

PHILLIPS – Edward Hampton “Ham” Langdon of Phillips passed away after a short illness on March 12, 2022. He was born in Brooklyn, NY July 11, 1950 to Clara (Candidus) and Arthur J. Langdon.

The family moved to Haddem Neck, Conn. in 1951. There he enjoyed raising his German Shepard dogs and variety of livestock. He worked for his father’s lab at Weck Ink Enterprises. After graduation he was employed as a long haul truck driver at various companies both in Connecticut and Maine until his retirement.

Edward moved to Lebanon, Conn. in 1980 where he married Jadwiga (Hedy) and began a family.

They moved to Maine in 1985.

He enjoyed growing heritage crops, keeping honey bees and living independently in a woods cabin that he built.

Family members include his son, Maxwell J. Langdon and wife Jessica (Staples), one grandchild, Aaliyah Rezz Langdon of Gorham; daughter, Marina C. Langdon of Phillips; and son, Leo W. Langdon and wife, Jennifer (Freeman) of Old Orchard Beach.

He leaves his brother, Arthur J. and wife Claudia, a sister, Claire, sister-in-law, Joan Langdon; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, Robert S. Langdon in 2006 and sister, Jeanette M. Langdon in 2020.

A private memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
