An evening of fun, fascination and illusion for all ages is slated for 6 p.m. Sunday, May 15, at the Immaculate Heart of Mary parish at Sacred Heart Church, 24 Sacred Heart Place in Auburn, according to a news release from the church.

Money raised through this fundraising event will help the Friends of Little Portion Hermitage support the ministry of Little Portion Hermitage.

Presenting an array of magic skills are performers Mark Vaillancourt, Phil Smith and Mike Millett.

Vaillancourt, of Mark’s Magic, is a close-up magician and mentalist. A familiar face to many Sacred Heart parishioners, he believes that magic is an art that is fun and entertaining for all ages. He has performed for several restaurants, local college venues, and private receptions as well as fundraising events including Make-A-Wish Foundation. Vaillancourt has had the opportunity to learn from several great magicians such as David DaVinci, Joshua Jay and Marc Paul, as well as the current “King of Cards,” Jeff McBride.

Smith, a master magician, entertains children and adults. He entertains at homes, schools, and many other settings from Maine to Boston and beyond. After training with magicians Jeff McBride, Bob Fitch, and other stars of magic, Smith went on to win several magic competitions in Maine. He’s performed thousands of shows.

Millett will also present his artistry in a rare performance.

Doors open at 5  p.m. Admission by cash or check only is payable at the door. The cost is $20 for adults, $10 for children, and $50 for a family.
