Claire has a reputation for choosing books with particular themes. One week, she enlisted a librarian to help her find small books that would fit into her purse. On this visit, Claire is looking for books with mermaids, fairies, princesses or delicious food on the cover. “I like pretty books,” Claire says. Meantime, Rory is participating in a “Star Wars” scavenger hunt. Rory is a big fan of the library’s scavenger hunts, and completed the Easter hunt and the “Harry Potter” hunt earlier this year. Students at Edward Little High School in Auburn participate in a 10-minute organized walkout at noon on May 5 to protest the Supreme Court of the United States’ possible repeal of Roe v. Wade, the landmark decision from 1973 that ruled the Constitution of the United States protects a woman’s liberty to choose to have an abortion without excessive government restriction. Principal Scott Annear released a statement reading, in part: “The student leader of the group collaborated with school administration to make a safe situation for all that participated.
