The Thomas E. Lahey Foundation recently awarded scholarships to six outstanding scholar-athletes and recent graduates of Lewiston High School, Edward Little High School and St. Dominic Academy.

This year’s scholarship recipients include: Lucas Pushard, a graduate of St. Dominic Academy, attending Stonehill College and the son of Tiger and Linda Pushard; Lucy Frenette, a graduate of St. Dominic Academy, attending Hofstra University and the daughter of Marc and Lu Ann Frenette; Shanna Leblanc, a graduate of Lewiston High School, attending St. Joseph College and the daughter of Marie and Marc LeBlanc; Bryce Dufour, a graduate of Lewiston High School, attending the University of Southern Maine and the son of Jamie and Lesley Dufour; Emma Samson, a graduate of Edward Little High School, attending the University of Southern Maine and the daughter of Jessica and Keith Samson; William Cassidy, a graduate of Edward Little High School, attending the University of Maine and the son of Lana and Gregory Cassidy.

The mission of the Thomas E. Lahey Foundation is to assist local youth in their pursuit of further education. Since its inception in 1987, the Foundation has each year awarded scholarships to graduates of local high schools. The main fundraising efforts include private donations, and annual golf and bowling tournaments.
