NORWAY — Ryan Lorrain has announced that he will be seeking re-election to the Norway Board of Selectmen.
Lorrain, a fourth generation resident of Norway, works for the Maine Legislature where he serves as a senior aide for the House of Representatives. In addition, he is the owner of a local small business, Norway Candle Co., along with his wife Becky.
A graduate of Thomas College, Lorrain has a bachelor’s degree in business management and nearly a decade of municipal experience; including service on the Select Board, Planning Board, Budget Committee, and Comprehensive Plan Committee.
“Over the next term, our town will face several significant challenges in regard to the impending turnover of our municipal government leadership as well as the continued development of our Comprehensive Plan. It would be an honor to continue working on behalf of our community to ensure a smooth transition for those who live in Norway, for today and for future generations.” said Lorrain.
The election is scheduled for Tuesday, June 14.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
