WEST PARIS — Judith Clements Packer has offered to match individual donations, up to $8,000, to help raise funds for the First Universalist Church of West Paris stained-glass restoration project. The donation match time period is May 5 to Sept. 1.

Clements Packer is a sister of the late Nicholas Clements of Bryant Pond and is making this generous donation in his memory. No donation is too small or too large and will be much appreciated.

The church was constructed along the Tiffany style, with art nouveau windows, in 1905 and was dedicated in 1906. The stained-glass windows are in need of repair and restoration, which will be done by the Willet-Hauser Architectural Glass Company, a specialist and industry leader in stained-glass original work and restoration for liturgical, public art, institutional and secular buildings.

The restoration project will begin in June.

To date, the church has raised $17,592 toward a total for the project of $50,100.

Donations can be made to The First Universalist Church of West Paris, Stained-Glass Window Project, P.O. Box 36, West Paris, Maine 04289.
