Kudos to OPTIONS

To the Editor:

Kudos to the Labonte Recovery Center in Rumford, the Oxford County Sheriff’s Office, and the Oxford County Mental Health Services’ OPTIONS Program for their collaborative distribution of harm reduction kits that provide life-saving information and resources to released inmates.

Providing encouragement to people who have made mistakes in their lives with the opportunity to build resilience and determination to succeed is fundamental to who we are as Americans.
