DEAR SUN SPOTS: We’re so glad to be back with our annual Perennial Plant Sale this year and thankful to Sun Spots for helping us share the news! The Canton Park & Trails Committee will hold the sale June 11 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Heritage Park in Canton on Route 108, across from Pinnacle Health and Rehab. One of the Whitney Brook Trail openings is also close to the park. Funds from the sale help support the park and trail.

Anyone with extra plants or plant pots to donate can bring them to the park the day of the sale. For more information, call Jolene at 597-2168. — Betty, no town

ANSWER: I’m so glad for you all and know that the sale will be lovely, as always!

DEAR SUNSPOTS: Would you and your readers know of retired carpenters and plumbers who are interested in doing occasional small jobs? They can contact me at 375-8988. — Lisa, no town

ANSWER: I’m putting this out to Sun Spots Land and you should get a call from someone who is willing to help you. I’m also adding a gentle reminder to be more specific with what you need accomplished when you have a request like this, and to include your town to make the transaction more efficient to those who respond. Let us know how it goes!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: The Lewiston Seniors are looking for people who would like to play pinochle. The card game is usually played by four people and is loads of fun. Even though it may have been years since you last played, we are willing to refresh your memory on how to play again.

ANSWER: That sounds like fun!

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I recently forgot a bag containing multiple medications worth over $1,000 that I had put on the bottom tier of  my grocery cart. I went back multiple times to look for it and left my name and number, to no avail.

Two days later, a man knocked at my door with my bag of medications in his hand. He had found them. I couldn’t believe it as we had looked, “I thought” at every cart.

The night before this kind stranger came to the door, I had prayed to St. Anthony to find my meds as he is the saint of lost causes and in turn, he sent me an angel. I only wish I would have gotten this angel’s name, but I was too surprised to think.

Thank you, sir, and may God bless you a million times over! I will pay it forward. — No name, Lewiston

ANSWER: Thank you for sharing your inspiring story. Isn’t it wonderful when there is a happy ending, especially when we have the answer to our prayers!
