TUNER — The First Universalist Church plans to offer line dancing classes at 6 p.m. for four weeks beginning Wednesday, June 8.
The classes are held in the vestry at the Route 117 church in Turner Center.
Instructors will be Vicky Catlett, Holly Catlett and Lyndsey Gilbert Day. The cost is a $6-per-class donation.
The church, a focal point of the community life for the last 200 years, is offering these classes as part of its 2022 fundraising campaign, according to a news release from the church.
The fundraising campaign will allow the church to provide necessary maintenance for the building, including installation of a handicap restroom, air conditioning, and other much needed improvements.
It will be the first step in engaging the local community in the work of the church.
To sign up for class and for more information, call Catlett at 207-576-8502.

We believe it's important to offer commenting on certain stories as a benefit to our readers. At its best, our comments sections can be a productive platform for readers to engage with our journalism, offer thoughts on coverage and issues, and drive conversation in a respectful, solutions-based way. It's a form of open discourse that can be useful to our community, public officials, journalists and others.
We do not enable comments on everything — exceptions include most crime stories, and coverage involving personal tragedy or sensitive issues that invite personal attacks instead of thoughtful discussion.
