Mary Jane Gervais

LEWISTON- Mary Jane Gervais, 91, of Lewiston, died on Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at Central Maine Medical Center. She was born in Guerette, Maine, the daughter of the late Donat and Josephine Lagasse and lived in Lewiston all her adult life.

She was an employee of Bates Fabrics and Bates Mill Store for a total of 40 years. She was a member of Holy Cross Church.

Mary Jane enjoyed, on occasion, trips to the casino with friends and also subbing for friends at Bonco. Her morning pleasure was to meet her dear friends and niece Jackie for coffee at McDonalds and talk about everything from past and current issues and events.

She leaves behind daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren which were loved so much. Daughter Diane and her husband George Gendron, daughter Debra and her husband Robert Carrier; grandson Rodney and his wife Kim Gendron, granddaughter Stacie and her husband Rob Drum; great-granddaughter Alyssa Drum, great-grandsons Robby Drum, Luke and Liam Gendron; also, many nieces and nephews who were loved so very much.

She was predeceased by her husband Wilfred Gervais who passed away in 1999; a sister Robertine and a brother Joseph.

The family would like to express our thanks to all the wonderful nurses at Central Maine Medical Center that cared for our Mom.

A Funeral Mass honoring Mary Jane’s life will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Church. Committal services will then follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
