Carmen A. (Bedard) Beaulieu
AUBURN – Carmen A. (Bedard) Beaulieu, 89, of Auburn, died Thursday, June 9, 2022 surrounded by her loving family. Carmen is now happy and at peace with God and the Virgin Mary and reunited with her husband Raymond.
She was born in Lewiston on Jan. 16, 1933, the daughter of the of the late Armand Bedard and Marie Ange (Garneau) Bedard. Carmen was raised by her Mom and Uncle Ludger Garneau after her father passed away when she was 5 years old.
Carmen graduated from St. Mary’s School in 1948 and Lewiston High School in 1952. Carmen married Raymond Beaulieu in 1965 and had three children, Lisa, Marc and Brian.
She was previously employed by Marie’s Bakery, Dr. Vachon, Dr. Bouchard, St. Mary’s Hospital, and Wendy’s among other jobs. She was a member of the Children of St. Marie and was the secretary for the St. Mary’s School Alumni. She was a member of Prince of Peace Parish.
Carmen enjoyed being with her Bichon, Sammy. She enjoyed living at Clover Manor. She loved all the staff and enjoyed the music and was known as the dancer at Clover. She was very faithful to her Catholic religion attending church regularly, until she moved to Clover. She also attended many wakes and funerals in respect of the deceased.
She remained relatively independent until August 2020. Although Covid-19 was not the cause of her passing, the social isolation it inflicted contributed to her subsequent decline.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Raymond R. Beaulieu.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Clover Manor for the wonderful care and companionship they provided Carmen during the pandemic when the family could not be there and to Androscoggin Hospice for the wonderful care they provided for the past week.
A Mass of Christian Burial honoring Carmen’s life will be celebrated on Thursday, June 16, 2022 at 11 a.m. at Holy Cross Church which will also be livestreamed through http://www.princeofpeace.me . Committal services will then follow at St. Peter’s Cemetery.
Carmen was a very bright and happy person and requests that everyone wear bright colors to her funeral. Pink was her favorite color. Please bring a written favorite memory of Carmen. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston, 784-4023.
