Cecile Bartley

AUBURN – On May 31, 2022, Cecile Bartley returned to God, her son and daughter at her side. In her 84 years, she loved and was loved greatly.

Born in Saint-Gedeon-de-Beauce, Quebec she immigrated with her family in 1957. Her parents were Joseph and Helene Vachon. In 1959 she married Eldred Bartley and was happy until his return to God in 2007.

She was a hard and tenacious worker setting a fine example for her co-workers and children to follow. She had a passion for gardening, helping seeds make their way to gorgeous creations. Some called her the “Tomato Whisperer”. She volunteered at Farmer Whiting’s for well over 30 years. She loved her feline friends and enjoyed watching her birds feed in the morning.

Cecile adored the Lord and gladly spoke to others about him to the day of her passing.

Cecile blessed, her children Marcel Bartley and wife Deborah, Diane Daskey and husband James; grandchildren Elizabeth and Amanda Bartley, Devon and Vanessa Daskey; siblings, Gisele Gagnon and husband Bert, Albani and Rene Vachon, and “Little Sister” Charlotte Larue; several in-laws, and many nieces and nephews.

Cecile was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, Al Bartley; and four siblings, Jeanine Newcomb, Jules, Michael, and Laurent Vachon.
