My Everyday Escape Summer Reading Program is scheduled to begin Friday, June 17, at the Farmington Public Library, 117 Academy St.
The program will end Aug. 11.
During the program children of all ages read and listen to books in any format, from any source.
They must keep track of their progress in order to win prizes, according to a news release from the library.
A library card is not necessary to participate, but free cards are available for all RSU 9 students and Farmington residents, according to a news release from the library.
The area businesses donating prizes include Gifford’s Ice Cream, Subway Sandwich Shop, Devaney Doak & Garrett Booksellers, and Narrow Gauge Cinemas.
Those interested can sign up anytime during the summer, in person, by phone at 207-778-4312 or by email at [email protected].
