Rachel C. Jacques

LEWISTON – Rachel C. Jacques, 74, of Lewiston, died Sunday, June 12, 2022, at the Hospice House of Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice in Auburn, with her loving family by her side following a courageous battle with breast cancer.

Born in Lewiston on Oct. 15, 1947, she was the daughter of Raymond and Eugenie (Roy) Levesque. She attended Lewiston schools and graduated from Lewiston High School, class of ‘65.

She enjoyed working at medical offices and ran her own word processing service until she started her 25-year career as the administrative assistant to the vice president of ILS at Bates College.

Rachel was a crafter and loved “making cards” with Stampin’ Up! Inc.

Survivors include her loving husband, Robert E. Jacques of Lewiston; a son, Charles St. Pierre and companion Thuan Ha of Augusta, a daughter, Julie (St. Pierre) Rioux and husband Mike of Minot, a stepson, Joseph Jacques and wife Delphine of Buxton; and five grandchildren, Olivia, Eliot, and Ian Rioux, and Aidan and Willow Jacques.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to the medical teams supporting her through the years, especially Dr. Thorp, Dr. Erickson, and the nurses and staff of Androscoggin Home Healthcare and Hospice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, June 21, in the lower Chapel at the Basilica of Sts. Peter and Paul. Interment, St. Peter’s Cemetery.
