I don’t always agree with Janet Mills, but she’s Maine’s better choice. As “the pandemic governor,” Mills steadily navigated Maine.

However, Paul LePage is unfit for governing. Faced by two students exercising free speech holding handmade signs when he spoke in Farmington as governor, the flustered LePage stormed away like a baby, as was typical. Voted out of office, he moved to Florida with his feelings hurt.

His answer to hard questions: cut and run, if bluster didn’t work.

Maine’s problems aren’t easy, but the choice is clear. We don’t need more disruptive rhetoric.

We need someone who won’t shirk responsibilities when faced with adversity.

During the worst political divisiveness in years, we need someone proven to work together with conservatives, progressives and plain Mainers that are tired of politics and worried about how to pay the bills.

Janet Mills is the leader who puts Maine above party. Vote Mills.
