Copies of the books for each month may be picked up at the Rangeley Public Library the month before the discussion. Rangeley Readers generally read fiction. They have recently discussed The Vanishing Half by Brit Bennett and Rules of Civility by Amor Towles. Pick up a book and join the discussion!

Wednesday, Thursday & Friday at 10:00am, starting July 6th Summer Reading Program 2022, “Oceans of Possibilities”
“Oceans of Possibilities”, this year’s summer reading program, will include topics related to the ocean and ocean creatures. Wednesday programs will be aimed at early elementary students, and preschoolers may choose either the Thursday or the Friday program.

Wednesday, July 6th, 6:00pm A Sporting Year in Maine Book Talk by author Tom Roth
Tom Roth, 25-year columnist for The Maine Sportsman, New England’s largest outdoor publication, will be at the Rangeley Public Library on Wednesday, July 6th, at 6:00 PM to discuss his book, A Sporting Year in Maine. In his book, Tom walks the reader through each month of the year, discussing what the state of Maine has to offer during each period. Practical how-to advice sprinkled with humorous anecdotes will keep both the novice sportsman and the professional entertained. Tom will share stories from his book for about half an hour, then spend about 15 minutes answering audience questions. There will be copies of the book available for purchase at the end of the discussion.
