LEWISTON – We are sad to announce the passing of Paula Ann Moreau Beaulieu of Lewiston. She died at age 76 on June 14, 2022. Paula passed away surrounded by her loved ones after a battle with Frontal Temporal Dementia. Paula’s last breath was taken with her husband of 56 years, Michael, her son John, and her daughter Mickelle by her side. Paula is survived by her brother, Aldo Moreau and three loving grandchildren.

Paula was born in Cheyenne, Wyo. to Paul and Renamay Moreau. She moved to Lewiston, Maine at a young age and met her husband Mike while attending Lewiston High School. The high school sweethearts started their married life together soon after graduating. Paula was a dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother and served as a hairdresser for several years.

Paula enjoyed gardening, painting and sailing with her husband. Most mornings she would be tending to her beautiful gardens and in the afternoon they would set sail together making loving memories in Portland Harbor. The mainsail on their boat had a beautiful red heart which truly was a symbol of their love for each other and their family.

Before Paula’s decline she had the opportunity to travel to many destinations mostly to visit family to enjoy holidays together. The final years of her life were spent in Poland, Maine, Weston, Mass. and then West Palm Beach, Fla. under the watchful eye of her husband, daughter and her son-in-law Stephen Duplessie.

The funeral will be a private ceremony with only direct family members present.
