HEBRON — Firefighters from more than half a dozen towns went to Ramsdell Road on Tuesday morning after a three-story home there went up in flames.

Fire officials said that the family who lives at 67 Ramsdell Road was able to escape the blaze, but the home was destroyed by fire.

When fire crews first arrived about 3 a.m., the home was reported engulfed in flames. Firefighters remained at the scene for more than three hours and were called back at around 7 a.m. for reports that the fire had reignited.

The cause of the blaze remained under investigation.

Firefighters from several towns, including Buckfield, Norway, Minot, Turner, Paris and Mechanic Falls battled the blaze.
