Dale E. LaFontaine

GREENE – Dale E. Lafontaine, 74, of Greene, passed away Saturday morning June 25, 2022 at his home in Greene with family at his side. The son of Paul and Barbara (Bowden) LaFontaine, Dale was born on October 10, 1947 in Lewiston, was educated in local schools and graduated from Leavitt High School. Dale enlisted in the Navy and served his country for four years until his Honorable Discharge. Dale worked at Casco bank for a number of years before starting his own lawn care business. Known as “lawn mower man”, he ran his own business for over a decade. Dale loved racing go-karts, Nascar, fishing, and camping. On the quiet days, you could find Dale enjoying an old western with his beloved dogs Izzy and Fred, or in the kitchen trying out a new recipe. On June 22, 1984, Dale married the love of his life, Patricia Brushwein and they had celebrated 38 years of marriage before his passing. Dale and Patty would go to races together, enjoy vacations to Old Orchard Beach, and the simple pleasure of going out to breakfast. He and Patty spent years camping at Beaver Brook campground of which countless hours were spent fishing on Androscoggin Lake. Dale leaves behind his wife Patricia Lafontaine; a son Justin Lafontaine and his wife Erica; and stepdaughters Jessica Mosher and her husband Matthew Mosher and Lauren Laplante and her wife Missy Goocher; five grandchildren Sarah Lafontaine, Jacob Lafontaine, Zack Lafontaine, Luke Mosher, and Lilah Mosher. Dale is predeceased by his parents, Paul and Barbara Lafontaine and son, Paul Lafontaine.

Visitation Fortin Group / AUBURN Friday, July 8, from 2-4 p.m., followed by a funeral in the funeral home at 4 p.m.
