To the Editor:

I would like to personally thank everyone who showed up for our first Fly-In and Car Show on July second at the Oxford Regional Airport in Oxford. First, I would like to thank The Rotary for coming to help us do all the cooking for our event, they went above and beyond, and can not thank them enough. I would like to thank all of the people who donated everything for the event, Pepsi Company, Utz Chips, Misfit
Crafters-Vicky Verrill, Tina Rowe for supplying the condiments, DeeDee Allen-D’S Pantry Cookin’ for the fantastic cookies and brownies, Country Kitchen for supplying all of the rolls, Bumpus Farm for supplying 60 pounds of hamburger, Micah, Aaron Haslett, Dunkin in Paris for donuts and coffee, Irving in Paris for the ice, Lil Mart for Ice, Walmart for Ice and cheese, Hannaford for water and soda.

I personally want to thank the crew at Mosher Aviation for helping before and after the event with the set-up and clean-up. Thanks to Ben Mosher for providing the hanger so we could set everything up, and for considering making this a yearly event. The money we raised will go toward fixing up the Airport to make it better. Thank you also to The Paris Legion for providing tables and chairs. I want to thank DaddyO’s also for hamburgers, and hot dogs, and the Dollar Tree also for Napkins and Plates.

I want to thank my husband Joel Haslett, and my son, Garrett Haslett, for everything they did to help this event go off without a hitch. Thank you to Carolyn who provided music and the gentleman who came with her to sing and entertain us with his fantastic music. We would like to thank Speedway, Inc. for their generous donation, Mainly Melts, and The Lake Store for a dessert. We had a great turnout for this event, and it was a great community event.

We had antique cars, and close to 30 planes that flew in, and a lot of fun was had by all. Thanks to the weather for clearing up and it made the day even better for all. Thanks to Tony Carter and all involved for standing behind us to make this event a great event. I can’t thank everyone enough, if I have missed someone I am truly sorry, tried to remember everyone.
