LEWISTON — The Center for Search and Investigations has named Robert V. Hutter of Lewiston as its national director of investigations.

Hutter has been a volunteer investigator with the organization in the New England region since 2013 and holds a Master of Science degree in investigations from the University of New Haven.

Since 2013, Hutter has directly conducted over 40 successful missing children investigations within Maine, often assisting and collaborating with many law enforcement entities.

In his new role, Hutter will conduct, manage and report on these investigations while continuing to maintain the diligence, professionalism, and integrity that the Center for Search and Investigations has been built upon.

Prior to volunteering with the group, Hutter was a special investigator with the Nassau County, New York district attorney’s office and continues to be the chief executive officer and founder of Dirigo Signing and Notary Services, a small and dynamic mobile notary public business founded in 2014.
