Hectorine Desjardins
CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Hectorine Desjardins formerly of Lewiston sadly passed away on April 23, 2022 in Coral Springs, Florida. She was born on Jan. 22, 1935, in St. Quentin, New Brunswick, Canada, where she lived with her parent Hector and Florida Boissonnault until she met her husband Lucien Desjardins and moved to Lewiston in 1962 and raised three daughters.
She will be remembered for her love of children, skating, playing hockey and attending hockey games. She loved knitting beautiful winter hats and mittens and was known for her artistic needle point skills. She also had a competitive spirit for playing cards and dominos. They moved to Ft. Lauderdale upon retirement where her and Lucien enjoyed the beautiful beaches and playing shuffle board with friends.
Lucien passed away on July 29, 2003. She was also preceded by her parents, brothers, Vic and Guildo Boissonnault and sister Claudette Murphy.
She leaves behind brother Real Boissonnault, daughter Linda and husband Dr. Matthieu Essango, daughter Pauline and husband Dan St. Hilaire, Louise and husband Tom Beaule. Her grandchildren, Dr. Nick and wife Dr. Cori St. Hilaire, Ben St. Hilaire, Zack St. Hilaire, Natasha Cayouette, Danielle Cayouette, Josh and wife Lindsey Beaule, Tyson Beaule. Her great-grandchildren, Ava, Addison, Lyla and Alexa St. Hilaire, Gemma and Giana Beaule, , Celeste and Tristan Cayouette.
She had enormous love and support for her family. She will be greatly missed by each and everyone of us. Her Funeral will be held at Holy Family Church in Lewiston on Wednesday July 27, 2022 at 11 a.m., following the burial at St. Peter’s Cemetery where she will be laid to rest with her husband Lucien.
