Joanne Henrietta Seguin

LEWISTON – Joanne Henrietta Seguin, 88, of Lewiston, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on July 20, 2022.

She was born in Lewiston on March 4, 1934, the daughter of Albert and Eva Larocque. She attended local schools and, on Oct. 22, 1955 she married her best friend and love of her life, Bertrand Seguin. Together, they raised five children and resided in Lewiston their whole lives. Joanne found no greater joy than time spent with all her children and looked forward to the monthly family gatherings, reminiscing of times spent raising them.

Her heart’s greatest desire was that all of her children and grandchildren would come to the knowledge and saving grace of Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior, as she did in April of 1981. She spent many hours over the years praying for them from the time she herself, accepted Him as her Lord and Savior. Joanne was a Proverbs 31 woman, always putting forth her husband and family first.

Joanne was predeceased by her loving husband; her parents; her brother, Albert J.P. Larocque, her sisters Madeleine Larocque, and Mariette Larocque, all of Lewiston, and her sister, Helen Latullipe of De Leon Springs, Fla.

She leaves behind her three sons, Robert (May) Seguin of Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., Ronald (Diane) Seguin and John (Kathryn) Seguin, of Lewiston, two daughters, Loanne (Jonathan) Popp of Union, and Christine (Normand) Moreau of Lewiston; eight grandchildren, Nathan (Julie) Seguin of Hampton, N.J., Leah, Ronald (Taylor), Margaruette, Anna Seguin, Joshua (Whitney) and Jonathan (Danielle) Moreau, all of Lewiston, and Brian Moreau of Livermore Falls; six great-grandchildren, Elise, Payton, Kason, Korbin, Kinsley Moreau and Charlotte Seguin, all of Lewiston; as well as three nieces and one nephew, all of Florida.

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday July 28, from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Albert and Burpee Funeral Home, 253 Pine St., Lewiston. A funeral service will be celebrated Friday, July 29, at 1 p.m. at Albert and Burpee Funeral Home, with a gravesite service following at Gracelawn Memorial Park, 980 Turner St., Auburn.
