Ronald J. Roy

RUMFORD – Ronald J. Roy, 76, of Lisbon, died unexpectedly at Rumford Hospital on July 23, 2022. He was born in Rumford on March 8, 1946, the son of Francis and Aline McCollough Roy. He attended local Rumford Area Schools and Graduated from Stephens High School class of 1964. On Sept. 26, 1964 he married Katherine Beauchesne in Rumford. He then went on to CMVTI becoming a Master Electrician and later graduating from Gorham State Teachers College. He worked for many years at Bath Regional Vocational Center teaching electrical program. He also owned his own electrical business and was the Lisbon Electrical Inspector up until the last year. He enjoyed his time at ‘Man Camp’, in Byron Maine, with his hunting and fishing buddies.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years Katherine of Lisbon, three sons, Kenneth and wife Lori of Greene, Stephen and wife Katherine and son Finn of Brunswick and Eric and wife Catherine and their daughter Savannah of Durango, Colo.

At Ron’s request, services will be private. Arrangements are under the care of Meader & Son Funeral Home, 3 Franklin St. Rumford.
