LIVERMORE FALLS — It’s almost time to solve our marine mystery at Treat Memorial Library! We’ve been giving weekly clues all summer and our final clue will be revealed at the library, on Facebook, and on our Beanstack site on August 4. Want to solve the mystery with others or just catch up? Come to Mystery Help Night on Thursday, August 4th at 6 p.m. Submit your mystery answers online or at the library to enter our book basket drawing by August 13th! Don’t forget to turn in your summer reading logs by August 13th as well. Thank you for being a summer reader and diving into the Oceans of Possibilities!

Need help with your job search? Nicole, a career consultant from the Career Center, will be at Treat Friday, August 5th from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Appointments will be drop in on a first come, first serve basis. She will be able to assist with job searches, preparation of a resume and cover letters, and/or provide information on education and training related to one’s career interest. Please stop in if you need assistance in these areas!

Wednesdays at 10:30 a.m., we will have Story Time outdoors at the library (weather permitting). Join us for our favorite picture books, sing-a-longs, and other activities. Each Story Time will include a take home craft. Story Time status will be updated every Wednesday morning on Facebook as outdoor or online!

Book Club will hold a hybrid meeting (both Zoom and in person) on Thursday, August 11th at 3 p.m. We will be discussing The 100 Year Old Man Who Climbed Out the Window and Disappeared by Jonas Jonasson as part of our Count on Books series (books with numbers in the title). Please let staff know if you would like a copy of the book up for discussion.

Check out our latest favorites from our shelves with Bonkers for Books, our biweekly recommendation video on Facebook. We will be sharing some of our favorites Saturday, August 6th and Saturday, August 20th this month.

We now have a State of Maine Park Pass available for patrons to use. Please contact the library for more information.
