Patricia Joan (Monett) McKeown

NORTH MONMOUTH – Pat, 85, passed away July 28, 2022. She was born in Ohio to parents Lawrence Leo Monett and Hellen Louise Monett. Pat graduated from Hayesville High School and Samaritan Hospital School of Nursing.

She married James Joseph McKeown in 1957. Pat and Jim had five children together and resided in Ledyard, Conn. until Jim retired from the Navy. They all moved to Jim’s home state of Maine, settling down on a small farm in Lewiston. Pat retired after 30 years of service for the State of Maine as a Public Health Nurse.

She was preceded in death by Jim; her parents; and her two older brothers, Joseph and Donald.

Pat is survived by her sister, Delphine Hanover, her brother, Lawrence Monett Jr., her five children, Patricia Fecteau, James Jr., Peter, Paul, and Donald; many grandchildren; and great-grandchildren.

Pat was remarried to William E. Pabst Sr., and they resided together at their home in North Monmouth until William’s death in 2014.
