She was very active in the Rumford community; volunteering at the What Not Shop, Santa’s Helpers and The Free Store. She also volunteered at Saint Athanasius Saint John School helping with cooking and assisting many teachers and students. She moved to Bangor after her husband’s death and volunteered at the Salvation Army and Folk Festival for over eight years. Some of her favorite hobbies were scratch tickets and visiting the penny slots at the Hollywood Casino. Most of all, Alba loved her family more than anything, in Italy and in Maine.
