I write to support Neil McLean for district attorney for Androscoggin, Oxford and Franklin counties.
He served as one of my prosecutors in Kennebec and Somerset counties for many years. His work was thorough and professional, and he was highly regarded by law enforcement, defense attorneys and judges. He was very effective in his case presentation.
In 2012, I became a district court judge. Neil McLean appeared in front of me often. He was always prepared. I have never met anyone with more integrity than Neil.
He also brings a great deal of maturity and life experience to his job as a prosecutor. He has good judgment determining who would benefit from a second chance, and those who deserve the full treatment. This is an essential quality for a good prosecutor, and Neil has it.
Without hesitation, I strongly endorse Neil McLean for district attorney.
