BRIDGTON — The Maine Senior Games Table Tennis Tournament is set to return starting at 10 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 14, at the Bridgton Town Hall at 26 North High St. Last year, the Maine Senior Games had its most successful event in history, and organizers hope to have even more participants this year.

Those who play table tennis and are at least 45 years of age, can participate. Players will compete in 5-year age categories (for example 50-55, 55- 60, etc., according to a news release from Bill Preis of the Ping Pong Program.

Players are required to wear sneakers and there will be a supply of paddles and balls for participants who need them.

The Bridgton Town Hall has four quality tables, newly refinished hard wood floors, LED lighting, high ceilings, bathrooms, and plenty of parking. Supported provided by the Town of Bridgton and Rec Director Gary Colello.

For those who need some practice or just want to play ping pong and have fun,  the Bridgton Town Hall is open from 1-4 p.m. Sundays.

The entry fee will include a T-shirt.
