NORWAY — Stephens Memorial Hospital will host free balance classes every third Tuesday of every month, beginning September 20. Classes will be from 1 – 2 p.m. in the Churchill Conference Room at the Bob & Sandy Bahre Health Center (159 Main Street, Norway).

Balance Class is a free monthly class designed for adults 60 and older and will help you learn to keep your balance and stay fit. Led by a team member in the Stephens Physical Therapy Department, participants will gain strength and balance with easy in-class exercises they can perform at any time.

The class schedule starts at 1 p.m. with a free balance screen and fall risk assessment; then is followed by a free balance class from 1:30 – 2 p.m. The balance screen is optional. Stop in anytime during the first half hour, or come at 1:30 p.m. for the balance exercise class.

No registration is needed to attend. This class is drop-in only. For more information, call the SMH Physical Rehabilitation Department at 207-744-6160.
