PARIS — The First Universalist Church of Paris, at 36 Pine St., will hold a large rummage/yard sale featuring clothes, books, furniture, kitchenware, household items, tools, and much more on Saturday, August 13 from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.  A bag sale will follow from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m.

NORWAY — The First Universalist Church of Norway will host an Everything Blueberry Bake Sale on Saturday, August 20, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. or until all baked goods are sold. The sale will be in front of the church at 479 Main Street, Norway. The Everything Blueberry Bake Sale will feature homemade blueberry pies, blueberry muffins, blueberry bars, blueberry crumble, blueberry bread, blueberry squares, and more – everything blueberry!

SUMNER — The Tenth Annual “Whatever Sale” for the benefit of the church will be held 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, August 27. This year’s event is the same as in recent years, featuring a ticket auction with the drawing at 1:30. We would appreciate any donations for the ticket auction, especially themed baskets in memory of loved ones. As always the food and bake sale, cutlery sales, and a light lunch will be available.

Supper
LOVELL — A Benefit Spaghetti supper will be held at Delta Masonic Lodge (920 Lovell Rd, Lovell) on Aug 13 from 5 to 7 p.m. All proceeds are to benefit SAD#72 ‘Project Backpack’. There is no cost but donations are greatly appreciated. The complete menu is spaghetti with meat sauce, salad, bread, and a beverage.
Historical Society
On August 18, The Paris Cape Historical Society will present Brad Cummings, who will speak on the CB Cummings Dowel Mill. The meeting will start at 7 p.m. and is open to the public. Refreshments will be served after the meeting. Parking is available at the rear of the museum, which is at 77 High Street in Paris.
