Irvin Soper

LEWISTON – Irvin Soper, a resident of Livermore, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 10, 2022. Irvin was born March 22, 1958, in Lewiston the son of Ormond Gross Jr. and Doris Soper. He was a logger, trucker, father, and most of all, a Papa to 14 grandchildren.

Irvin married Pam Soper on July 18, 1981 and raised their five children together. Irvin’s greatest joy was his family and friends. He enjoyed family dinners together and sitting around telling stories. Anyone that knew him knew how much he loved his Ford trucks. He was recognized for his dedication to his family and the work he did.

Irvin is survived by his wife, Pam Soper; his children Chris Thoma and his wife, Dina, Dan Thoma and his wife, Johanna, Amy Soper and her partner, Mark, Brandon Soper, and Jeremy Soper; grandchildren Joel Soper, Brody Soper, Christina Eagerton, Jessica Fish, Ashley Cooper, Derek Thoma, Robin Thoma, Ezra Thoma, Odin Thoma, and Liam Thoma; great-grandchildren Bentley, Tanner, Alden, and Theo.

A celebration of life will be held at the Livermore Community Building, Church Street, Livermore, on Sunday, August 21 at 2 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Androscoggin Land Trust for land preservation.
