Lauren Cimino, 14, and Liam Campbell, 11, play a game of foosball Tuesday at a reception for the Boys and Girls Clubs of Southern Maine’s new Lewiston Teen Center at the Armory on Central Avenue. The space will serve students ages 12-18 who have not graduated from high school. The three-room space on the second floor of the armory features a kitchen, a large game room for socializing, and a computer lab and quiet space. According to teen director Hannah Seigel, the door will be open from after school to 7 p.m., with occasional later nights. A Temporary Assistance for Needy Families grant provided seed money to open the club, which is expected to draw teens from both Auburn and Lewiston thus freeing up more space at the Auburn location. The center is expected to have a soft open on Monday. Andree Kehn/Sun Journal
