Francis “Frank” B. Gurschick II

LEWISTON – Francis “Frank” B. Gurschick II, 44, of Greene, passed away peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 22, 2022, at St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center, surrounded by his loving family.

Frank was born in Lewiston on Aug. 4, 1978, the son of Francis B. Gurschick and Karen M. Asselin. Frank and his family moved to Tennessee when he was young, and upon completing high school, Frank returned to his beloved state of Maine.

Frank enjoyed Disc Golf and spending time with his family. He particularly enjoyed making salsa with his Gram and he enjoyed eating a big plate of his mom’s lasagna. An avid Pink Floyd fan, it wouldn’t be surprising to find him singing along to his favorite tunes, even if he was a bit off key.

Frank is survived by his mother and stepfather, Karen M. and Roger B. Asselin Jr. “Dad”, of Vero Beach, Fla.; his brother, Samuel K. Gurschick of Orlando, Fla., his sister, Alison R. Wix, of Hopkinsville, Ky.; his maternal grandmother, Mae Holbrook Sennett, of Minot; 13 nieces and nephews; his many aunts, uncles, cousins; and by close friends, whom he loved as dearly as his family.

Frank was predeceased by his father, Francis B. Gurschick; his sister, Cheyanne K. Audet; maternal grandfathers Roger K. Sennett and Richard Gould, and paternal grandparents John Henry and Gladys Gurschick.

A memorial service honoring Frank’s life will be celebrated on Friday, Aug. 26 at 11 a.m. at the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home. Committal will be private at Riverhill Cemetery in Turner.

There will not be any visitation. Arrangements by the Pinette Dillingham & Lynch Funeral Home 305 Alfred A. Plourde Parkway in Lewiston 784-4023.

In lieu of flowers, donation to Maine Brain Aneurysm Awareness (kat-walk.org) would be graciously accepted in his sister, Chey’s memory, whom he dearly loved and missed.
