Susan Wing Wallace
SUMNER – Susan Jenny Wallace, 62, a resident of Sumner passed away peacefully on Aug. 23, 2022, with her loving sisters and significant other, Bruce Cochran, surrounding her.
Sue was born Sept. 21, 1959, in Farmington. She was the daughter of Kenneth Wing and Joyce Dube Wing. Sue was a graduate of Dixfield High School and the tenth of twelve children who were raised on a family farm. Being brought up on a large family farm, Sue loved animals and throughout her life surrounded herself with them. Sue was also known for her love of gardening, with a vegetable plot as well as beautiful flowers throughout her property.
Sue was married to her soul mate, Tim Wallace, and they shared thirty eight years together until his passing in 2018. They resided in West Sumner and built their home together in the foothills of Black Mt.
Together they also created a museum of antique classic cars and related memorabilia for all to enjoy.
Their property was a joy for all to see, and for years was a draw for many car clubs to visit and enjoy the Wallace hospitality. Tim and Sue also enjoyed snowmobiling and four wheeling, fishing and Sue especially enjoyed the casinos with her twin sister, Sally.
Sue retired from New England Public Warehouse due to ill health.
Sue was predeceased by her husband Tim Wallace, parents, Kenneth and Joyce Wing, brother Kevin Stanley and father in law, Malcolm Wallace.
Sue is survived by siblings, Gail Eastman and husband, Thaine of Sumer, Darlene Freudenburg of Sidney, Brenda Bragg and husband David of Sumner, Jody Hadley of Virginia, Sally Lafleur and husband David of
Hartford, Kimberly Robbins and husband Jerry of Canton, Wendy Wing of Livermore and David Hauger, Daniel Wing and wife, Evelyn of Albemarle, N.C., Colin Wing and companion, Rita Matimas of Goodrich,Texas and Jamie Wing of Oakland, Calif., sister-in-law, Cindy Stanley of Dixfield, and sister in law, Deborah Gilbert and husband, Jerry of Turner, mother in law, Frances Wallace and significant other, Erlon Hadley of Bryant Pond, and brother in laws, Greg Wallace of Hartford and Randall Wallace of Madison, aunts Gloria Jacques, Jean Camire, and Rachel Blasidell. Sue is also is survived by dear friends Lucy Wilcox of Sumner, Mary Allen of Mechanic Falls, and Ed Libby of Leeds. Sue is also survived by many
loving nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on September 10, at Elmwood Cemetery in E. Sumner at 11 a.m.,
Tim and Sue Wallace will be buried together at this time.
Reception following at the W. Sumner Universalist Church vestry on Rt. 219.
