From his first job in high school until dementia forced his retirement, he was committed to hard work in manufacturing, technology, and the ski industry. For many years, he also taught skiing at Sunday River and shared a passion for the sport with young skiers in the River Runners program.

He actively helped Our Lady of the Snows welcome local residents and visitors alike in celebration of the sacraments.

He was involved in the Oxford Co. Democrats as well as with town politics; the Maine Democratic Party recognized his efforts with the 2006 Joseph Mayo award.

He is survived by his wife Eileen; his brothers, Jack and David; his sons Kevin and Brian; his aunt, Rita Doyle; his four grandchildren: Ellie, Everett, Oliver and Holden; his mother-in-law Marilyn Brennan; his brothers-in-law Timmy and Billy Brennan; his sisters-in-law Kathy Holland, Lynn Brennan, Susan Babson and Jamie Broderick; his daughter-in-law Kayla Broderick; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
