RUMFORD – Edith Russell, 83, died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2022, at the Rumford Hospital. She was a resident of Spruce Street in Rumford.

Born in Rumford, Maine, on March 15, 1939, she was a daughter of Josiah and Dorothy (Leach) Hall. Edith was a graduate of Andover High School and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant and was also a delivery driver for Avon.

Edith is survived by her daughters, Valerie Flynn and husband Brian of New Franklin, Ohio, Karen Gallagher of Suffern, N.Y., and Gretchen Barden and husband Matts of Bradford, N.H., a son William Helm, III and wife Deana of New Franklin, Ohio, grandchildren, Josiah Scott Walton and Kelly Gallagher, a sister Josephine Meisner of Pembroke, Maine.
