The Rangeley Ecumenical Food Pantry is open every Tuesday from 10 a.m. to noon. It offers foods of all sorts as well as some household and personal items to all.

The pantry is located in the Undercroft, the lower level of the Epsicopal Church at 2614 Main St. It is supported by Rangeley’s Baptist, Catholic, Congregational and Episcopal churches, as well as the Log Church, according to a news release from the pantry.

Its shelves are filled with dry goods and canned foods of all sorts, as well as meats, butter, breads, eggs and cheese. It also offers flour, sugar, rice, cereals, shelf-stable milk, juices, toilet paper, and there are donated items such as deodorant, shampoo, shave gel, and sometimes pet foods.

The pantry volunteers also deliver a variety of goods to Rangeley’s elderly housing facilities.

The Good Shepherd Food Bank supplies many of the dry goods to the pantry, but all fresh items are purchased. Donations of food are welcome; cash donations are gratefully accepted.

To make a direct donation of food, place non-perishable items in the basket outside the pantry door, which is located just inside the side door of the Undercroft, at any time. To make a cash donation to support the pantry’s work in the community, make a check payable to The Ecumenical Food Pantry and mail it to P.O. Box 1028, Rangeley, ME 04970.

Leadership of the Ecumenical Food Pantry includes Barry Libby as the chair, Robert Haddock as treasurer and Sue Downes-Borko as secretary.
