LISBON FALLS — 911NFT’s 4th annual Tribute to Our Fallen event is scheduled for 9 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Railroad Diner, 697 Lisbon St.

This event is a tribute to remember Sept. 11, 2001 and the firemen and women and first responders who gave the ultimate sacrifice during the tragedy. It is also a ceremony to honor all Maine firefighters and pay respect to those lost nationwide, according to an event news release.

This year’s event is brought together by Fire and Iron Firefighters Motorcycle Club Station 707, 911NFT, Down Cellah, The Legion Riders, and the StrayKat Society Riding Club.

The event will start with a breakfast and continue at 10:30 a.m. with a police escort departure through Lisbon, a motorcycle ride to the Augusta Firefighters’ Memorial to pay respects, and then return to the Railroad Pub. This ride is expected to include more than 100 motorcycle riders and 14 firetrucks.

Upon their return to Lisbon, at approximately 12:45 p.m., participants will receive another police escort back to the Railroad Diner and return under a ceremonial flag suspended by Ladder firetrucks from Lisbon and Topsham. The event will then hold a bell ringing ceremony to honor those fallen in the line of duty. The afternoon will continue with live music from the band Down Cellah.

There will be a raffle as well with prizes. Funds raised will benefit the National Fallen Firefighter’s Foundation and a Maine family of a fallen firefighter.
