OXFORD — The Oxford County Fair returns Wednesday for four days and nights with the High Flying Dog Show, a musical tribute to Cher and Sir Elton John, agricultural exhibitions, pig scrambles and a midway by Smokey’s Greater Shows.

It all happens on the fairgrounds on Pottle Road.

There will be three performances of the High Flying Dog Show each Wednesday and Thursday at the main stage.

“Two Divas and a Piano” will feature Las Vegas husband and wife team Gene Sironen and Heidi Thompson as Sir Elton John and Cher. The couple have been staples in the long-running Vegas Legends in Concert show. The show starts at 5 p.m. Saturday at the main stage.

Other Saturday acts include Peter Allen & Hurricane Mountain starting at 2:15 p.m., the U.K.-based country rock band Grand Prairie at 3:15 p.m., and Ragged Jack at the NRC Audio Stage at 6:30 p.m.

One of the new attractions expected to draw a big crowd is lawn mower races. Qualifying heats will begin Thursday at 6 p.m. There are five classes: stock, single cylinder modified, twin modified, ladies, and over 50.

Another new addition is the 60 Second Challenge, a cornhole tournament presented by the Rotary Club of Oxford Hills on Saturday from noon to 4 p.m.

Livestock exhibits and competitions will be held daily. There are three pig scrambles: 5 p.m. Thursday for 6- and 7-year-olds; 5 p.m. Friday for 8- and 9-year-olds; at 1 p.m. Saturday for 6- and 7-year-olds.
