BETHEL — Great news for this fall, folks. Telstar Adult and Community Education is back in full swing! There are so many enrichment classes taught by local people who want to share their knowledge with you. From Felting to Fiddling, Drawing to Decoupage, there is something for everyone. Four new classes at the Grover Rysted Pottery Studio will fill up fast, so hurry and check them out before you miss out. Watch out for our course brochure coming to a mailbox near you. Also, be on the lookout for pop-up classes not listed in our brochure. They will be listed on our website, and information will be posted to Facebook as they are added.

Are you interested in a new career? Come explore with us the wide variety of options we have available for preparing to get the High School Equivalency (HiSet) credential, enrolling in our many certificate programs, or taking college courses through the University of Maine.

Interested in working for your school community? Want to work with children and dedicated teachers while also having a really great schedule? Substitute Teaching is for you! This class is free and Subs are in high demand. You will be given all of the information you will need to prepare for being a substitute in the SAD #44 District as well as all the information you needed to fulfill state requirements.

Add to your resume or just because, join Hailey Tripp and learn the skills needed for CPR and First Aid. The American Heart Association certificate is good for two years and meets the requirements of many workplaces, including childcare centers.

Hunting Season is right around the corner. Once again, we are able to offer the Hunter Safety class through the Department of Inland Fisheries & Wildlife. Sign up through our website to save money on this class and keep this Maine tradition going.
