Q&A

Define what “success” would look like if you are elected to serve your district.
I am a firm believer that we are elected to serve the people of our district. I always respond to my constituents and help in any way I can. When asked to sponsor bills, I consider it a success when I can get them passed. When we are successful funding schools or education, balancing the budget without harming anyone, and passing bills that I am proud to sponsor or co-sponsor I consider it a success.

Characterize your view on public access to governmental business.
In a democracy, government must be transparent, otherwise our Constitution doesn’t work. People have a right to know how their elected officials are representing them. They need to know representatives are respecting their resources, their environment and, indeed, their expectations.
